Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She started working at ESPN at the end of 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since her age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first work at Univision, Miami. She could work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS channel located in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. The year 2009 saw her move in Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an anchor for the newscast of KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas as well as Mexico. The anchor also acted as a fill-in anchors for sports and weather. She was then the anchor reporter and anchor for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. Her duties were then expanded to larger responsibilities. She produced pieces about the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Apart from that, she also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. In addition, she was the host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She also served in that as a reporter for the magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally native to Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. There is an older sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 after they left Mexico. Her parents divorced shortly after and in 1995 she tied the knot with a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple remained with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, in which she was offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. She was in love with the campus. They also offered the major that she desired. She graduated from high school and was accepted in the university with a major in media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. Herself strived to exceed his standards and not fall short of his expectations.
